Friends of laughter and joy! Let’s laugh together from the towers of the world on May 1, 2016, the International Day of laughter!

On the same day, we will laugh in the church steeple of Erlach, a small town in Switzerland.

Dear laughter professionals, laughter lovers and joyful people around the world!

Let’s uplift the world with laughter!

We are a unique group of laughingly advanced happy people. We unite on Facebook and in many other ways. We have experienced the magic of laughter and we lead a life of joy. We have our head and our hearts in the future – in the future of humanity.
So let’s unite and bring a gift of love to the planet!
We are not really serious – like the universe with its cosmic jokes, with its cosmic joy. We unite with the universe by fulfilling its purpose: Laughing and loving.

So I propose a unified action of laughing from the towers of the world on World Laughter Day, 1st May, 2016. On this day we will laugh in the steeple of the church of Erlach, Switzerland, with the support of the town. Erlach celebrates its 750th anniversary with laughter from its towers!

At another event in Erlach 2016, we will build a tower of wooden blocks. Each participant writes a word of inspiration on a block. If in the end the tower breaks down, we will laugh about it!
Now I am collecting inspirational words from all over the planet. Each participant will receive a paper with such a word, and will write it on a second block which will be part of the tower. The whole world will participate in the construction of this colorful tower! Please send your word, and please share this message with your inspired friends!

This is a conscious, uplifting, non-serious, loving, visionary, unifying and revolutionary project in our process to create a new reality for ourselves and the planet!

Estimados profesionales de la risa, amantes de la risa, y amigos alegres de todo el mundo!
Vamos a elevar el mundo con la risa!
Somos un grupo único de personas felices, avanzados en la risa. Nos unimos en Facebook y de muchas otras maneras. Hemos experimentado la magia de la risa y llevamos una vida de alegría. Tenemos nuestra cabeza y nuestro corazón en el futuro – en el futuro de la humanidad.
Así que vamos a unirnos y llevar un regalo de amor para el planeta!
No somos realmente serio – como el universo con sus bromas cósmicas, con su alegría cósmica. Nos unimos con el universo mediante el cumplimiento de su propósito: Risa y amor.

Estoy recogiendo palabras de inspiración de todo el planeta. Cada participante recibirá un papel con una palabra en varias idiomas, y la escribirá en un segundo bloque. Freunde des Lachens und der Freude! Lassen Sie uns gemeinsam am 1. Mai 2016, dem Internationalen Tag des Lachens, von allen Türmen in die Welt hinauslachen!
Am selben Tag werden wir im Kirchturm von Erlach, einer kleinen Stadt in der Schweiz, unsere Lebensfreude zum Ausdruck bringen
Der Priester wird das Thema Lachen im Gottesdienst aufgreifen und mit uns lachen. Wie lustig und tiefgehend!

Laughter from the Towers of the World!

Friends of laughter and joy! Let’s laugh together from the towers of the world on May 1, 2016, the International Day of laughter!
On the same day, we will laugh in the church steeple of Erlach, a small town in Switzerland.

It is an official project of the city of Erlach for its anniversary of 750 years.
I invite you to create your own laughter in the towers of the world! It can be large, it may be small, it can be crowded or not crowded. It may be only your own laughter. You can build your own tower, or you can laugh with a group from the highest tower of a city. Everything is possible. Let’s celebrate life!
We will raise and awaken the world! Our brothers and sisters will realize the beauty of life, and the planet will become a paradise of joy. Yes it will!

The Tower Laughter is a project of the Coalition of Joy which has been formed by the inspiration of Dr. Roland Schutzbach, Switzerland.

iAmigos de la risa! iReímos juntos desde las torres del mundo el 1 de Mayo 2016, el día mundial de la risa!
El mismo día, vamos a reír en la torre de la iglesia de Erlach, una pequeña ciudad de Suiza.
El cura va a incluir la risa en el servicio. Que divertido y profundo!
Es es un proyecto oficial de la ciudad de Erlach para su aniversario de 750 años.
Te invito de crear tu propio risa en las torres del mundo. Puede ser grande, puede ser pequeño, puede ser una risa con mucha gente o con poca gente. Puede ser solamente tu propia risa. Puedes construir tu propia torre, o puedes reír con un grupo desde la torre mas alta de una ciudad. Todo es posible. iCelebramos la vida!
iVamos a levantar y despertar el mundo! Nuestros hermanas y hermanas van a realizar la belleza de la vida, y el planeta va a transformarse en un paraíso de alegría. iEs cierto!

This is the day – Celebrate!

Today is the day! Dies ist der Tag! Join in! Mach mit!
In den nächsten Tagen und Wochen will ich eine kleine Tournee bei Freunden machen. Alle sind eingeladen, mit zu rappen. Dann wird die Aufnahme noch reicher und bunter und freudiger! Ich will auch einen Videoclip drehen, auf dem man die bunten Leute sieht, wie sie „This is the Day“ oder „Dies ist der Tag“ rufen, wie sie herumtanzen und feiern. Wer Lust hat und in der Nähe des Berner Seelandes lebt, möge sich bitte melden!
Weiterhin suche ich Auftrittsmöglichkeiten für meine Raps – 10 bis 20 Minuten, höchst intensiv! Auf einem Fest, an einer Geburtstagsparty. Ich dichte auch Rap-Texte auf Anfrage, massgeschneidert 😉

Foolosophy 4 – Let’s be happy!

We had a funny waiter on our last day in Arambol, Goa. He served us the Fruit Salad in the Restaurant „Eyes of Buddha“ with a smile, and with some funny commentaries. I didn’t know what it was – but Christina and I were amused all the time about him.

For instance, she asked him about about the quality of the water for drinking. Is it filtered, is it from a bottle? He murmured something about filters which we did not really understand. And then he said: „If you get sick, I call the ambulance for you.“ We – and especially Christina – found that very funny. We had a good laugh.

When we left, Christina asked him: „Are you happy?“ And he said: „I am always happy. Without happiness, life is not good.“

It’s so simple, isn’t it?

According to scientific tests, happiness can be measured. In their „Test Book“, Mikael Krogerus and Roman Tschaeppeler have described 69 scientific tests. One of them is about happiness. This test has been developed by US psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky. The first question of the test is: „In general, I consider myself „not very happy“ until „very happy“, on a scale from one to seven.
So: If you consider yourself vey happy – then you are very happy!

What a miracle! You create your world! I create my world! By considering myself as happy, I transform my whole world into a world of happiness.

In India and in other countries on our travels, we often have met people like this. They live a very simple life, they don’t have much. Our waiter sleeps outside, under the roof of the restaurant, on some old mattresses. He works 16 hours a day, seven days per week. But he smiles all the times and amuses us with his funny commentaries.

My friend Nico has written a poem about the art of happiness. Here it is – an inspiration for us westerners, I suppose:

Isn’t It Enough?

Isn’t it enough that the sun rises
And you can hear the music of the birds?
Isn’t it enough you can open your mouth
And out come tumbling your words?

Isn’t it enough you can plant a seed
And in time have something to eat?
Isn’t it enough you can snap your fingers
And somehow keep a beat?

I don’t care if Jesus was divine
If he turned water into wine
Or if Moses parted the Red Sea
It doesn’t matter to me

I don’t need miracles to believe
Or any religion to be deceived
Life by itself is a wonder to me
Just everyday reality

Isn’t it enough that stars fill the sky
And grain is baked into bread?
Isn’t it enough to see a child smile
When you tuck it into bed?

Isn’t it enough you can see and smell
And think and hear and feel
Isn’t all this sufficient proof
Isn’t this a big enough deal?

Roland: We know that high knowledge of the higher self, the knowledge of all knowledges, the way, the immersion, the love – and above all, the laughter!

The 2014 film about the Coalition of Joy!

In November 2013, we were on our way through California, and got inspired indeed! We met many joyful people – scientists, researchers, political activists, and spiritual seekers.

We recorded some of these meetings and interviews. In the film, I put together also memories and inspirations of the last five years, since the creation of the Coalition of Joy, and even further back to the beginnings of our play around laughter.

Christina and I did not exactly come to Yucatan to study Maya culture. We even had some reservations about it after some funny experiences with Mayan priests in Guatemala some years ago.
We came to Yucatan and Mexico for more joyful reasons and also with the intention to continue writing our books, producing films, and having fun as always.
But being at the Peninsula of Yucatan, we became interested, read some books and texts, visited the ruins of Dzibilchaltun north of Merida, and swam in holy cenotes in very very clear and beautiful waters.

And at some point we were lucky enough to meet Gabriel, a descendent of a Maya priest near Merida, who opened with his openness our inner doors of perception.

Of course, synchronicity!
I had told Karla, our young, charming host in Merida, about my thoughts concerning Maya culture. „I would like to get a personal feeling about it“, I said. „In Christianity, I have heard the message, Love each other. I do not understand until now the message of the Mayan culture.“
Karla is a psychologist, and a dance and yoga teacher with her own studio in the house. She has studied spiritual subjects and is radiating friendliness and love. „I understand“, she said. „I have a friend, Gabriel. He knows a lot about it and is a very nice man. He has built his own Mayan centre. Let‘s go and see him next Sunday.“

So yesterday we drove with Karla and two friends to the village of Nolo. Gabriel‘s place is quite hidden, nearly in the bush. On his land we saw amazing things: His father had erected a replica of the pyramid of Chichen Itza, about half a meter high. He built a meditation stool of stones and a meeting place with a hidden meaning.
Gabrial was not there when we arrived. Karla explained us the meditation stool, and we tried it out. So much power!

Then Gabriel arrived; a man of maybe 40 years. First he asked us to come to the special meeting place.

„Here is the big stone in the middle. It is made for rituals. And around there are nine stones to sit at. They are the nine months of our Mayan calendar.
The middle stone is directed towards North. The North is white, the South is yellow, East is red, and West is black.
East is the rising of the sun, the light. In the west the sun goes down; it is the darkness.“

He told us that his father had held reunions and ceremonies here, and that he was continuing with this tradition.
„We are a council of 25 Maya elders and priests in Yucatan“, he said. „Last December, at the time of winter solstice, there was a meeting of Maya priests from Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico and Belice here in Mexico.“

He led us to an open house. In its middle we saw a photo of his father who died at the age of 51, 17 years ago.
On the wall, there was a great black and white mural of Mayan mythology. Gabriel explained the meaning of the calendar, of the holy snake Kukulkan, and of the four directions.

„For us, it is Ku-ku ul ka an“, he said. „With the double u it means: Admired god of the infinite. Kukulkan with only one u means the feathered snake. This can only be understood by people who speak the Mayan language.“

„The most important questions in Maya philosophy are the following: Who am I? Where do I come from? Where do I go?“

No, here, a feeling of being at home entered me. This is perennial philosophy. These questions were put – and sometimes answered 🙂 – by philosophers over the ages. The oracle of Delphi, and Deepak Chopra. The Shift Network, and Christina Fleur de Lys.

Then he commented about the four last months of the Mayan Calendar. „They are the month of music, the month of dance, the month of knowledge, and the last month of the Here and Now“, he said. He explained the cosmology and astronomy of these months and said that the last one, the Here and Now, is only 5 days long. These five add to 360 days. „These days were especially celebrated“ he said.
We mentioned the book of Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now, but he had not heard about it.
I then told him about our mission and vision of joy, and about the coalition of joy. I said that these four months for me were an expression of joy, because in joy we often dance and sing, and we celebrate the here and now. „This is wonderful“, he said. „And above all, it is a question of knowledge.“
Later we heard that there would be a Mayan celebration a week later with some more elders…in the yoga room of Karla!
„I invite you“, Gabriel said. „There you will meet Vicente. He knows much more than me.“
Of course we said yes.
„Do the people of the village come to your place?“ asked Christina. „No, they don‘t“, he answered. „It seems that places that are near are not so interesting“.

In between, Christina and I talked about the question if we should give him some money, if he charged for his service. We asked Karla, and she said that he did not charge, but that we were free to donate.
So I asked him in the end if he would like a donation.
„I don‘t charge“, he said. „But if you like to contribute to the costs of the place, you are welcome to do it“. So we did.

We parted as friends. When we gave each other a hug, I inspired him to some laughter, and it was beautiful.

After all, I think that the presence of the Mayan ruins and the Mayan traditions give more meaning of life to the people of Yucatan. They are not only tourist attractions, but a subject of study of wonder. There is a Mayan language to learn. Their cosmos is quite complex, with two calendars existing at the same time, with astrological knowledges and studies, with mysteries yet to be solved.

It was inspiring that Gabriel did not charge. So it was a meeting of researchers of truth, of friends, of people who like wisdom – philosophers. (Philosopher means: lover of wisdom)
We met from different cultures and still had the feeling to understand each other.
On the way back, Karla said: „This is my secret place. I go there nearly every Sunday. And I would like to learn the Mayan language.“

Glücks-Begegnung am Meer

„Merengue, Merengue, Merengue!“ tönt es schon von weitem am Strand von Progreso. „Merengue!“ (Schneller und lauter werdend) „Merengue, Merengue, Merengue“! Der Mann kommt näher. So laut und schnell hat noch keiner seine Ware angepriesen. Was wird daraus?
Vorhin, als wir am Strand entlang schlenderten, wurden wir bereits alle 20 Sekunden angesprochen von den Bediensteten der Bars und Restaurants. Beim 15. Mal teilte ich einem netten Herrn mit, er sei somit Nummer 15, und nein, wir wollten noch immer nichts essen oder trinken.

Nun kommt also der Merengue-Herr des Wegs. Ich sitze allein auf einem Plastik-Stuhl, niemand ist sonst hier, und Christina tummelt sich im Wasser.
Der Herr bleibt vor mir stehen. Ein Auge ist ständig geschlossen.
„Wir sollten doch glücklich sein“, sagt er. „Mit einer süssen Merengue würden Sie noch glücklicher, und Sie würden auch mich noch glücklicher machen.“
„Ich nehme keine Süssigkeiten“, sage ich.
„Ich habe auch Dulce de Leche, das enthält fast keinen Zucker“, entgegnet er.
All seine Habe befindet sich auf einem grossen Tablett, das er auf dem Kopf balanciert. Dazu hat er eine Art Klapptisch dabei, den er nun aufstellt, um das Tablett darauf zu positionieren.
Aber es scheint ihm auch um die Philosophie des Glücks zu gehen.
„Wissen Sie, ich bin glücklich“, sagt er, „ich bin wirklich glücklich. Ich brauche nicht mehr als was ich habe. Gott ist auf meiner Seite. Wir sind einerseits so klein, wir sind bedeutungslos, die Erde ist ein winziger Punkt im All. Und andererseits sind wir Götter auf Erden, wir sind Ebenbilder Gottes.
Es wird gesagt, dass der Papst der Stellvertreter Gottes auf der Erde sei, sozusagen Gott auf Erden. Aber das macht keinen Sinn. Jeder von uns ist ein Gott auf der Erde.“

Er zitiert die Bibel und weist darauf hin, dass in den „Sprüchen“ viel Weisheit zu finden sei – auch über das Lachen. „Das Lachen stärkt die Seele und den Körper“, zitiert er.

Zum zweiten Mal begegne ich einem „armen“, glücklichen Menschen am Meer. Die Situation erinnert an unsere Begegnung mit Hanna am Strand von Arambol, Goa, im Jahr 2010. Hanna hatte einige Tücher über ihrem Arm und versuchte, sie zu verkaufen. Auch sie erzählte uns unaufgefordert von ihren Glücksgefühlen.

Inzwischen habe ich mich entschlosssen, ein Dulce de Leche zu kaufen. Das macht ihn sichtlich glücklich. Christina ist inzwischen dazu gekommen, und unser Verkäufer berichtet uns nun von seiner politischen Philosophie:
„Russland ist keine Weltmacht mehr, Grossbritannien ist keine Weltmacht mehr. Bleiben nur die USA, aber sie werden von niemandem geliebt. Ich denke, die USA werden sich mit dem Vatikan zuammentun.“
Der Mann hat sich viele Gedanken gemacht. Es wird mir nicht klar, ob er Christ oder Freigeist ist.
Wir haben heute einen Tagesausflug von Merida an die Nordküste von Yucatan, Mexico, unternommen. Ein hübsches Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, mit einer Terrasse über dem Meer, wunderbar. Hier werden wir nächste Woche ein paar Tage verbringen – wenn das Wetter gut ist. Denn in den letzten Tagen hat es häufig geregnet, und die Temperatur ist etwas gesunken.
Wenn wir zurück kommen, werden wir vielleicht noch weitere philsophische Gespräche mit unserem Strandverkäufer führen! Und Dulce de Leche geniessen – die Süsse des Lebens!

We met Bruce Lipton in Los Angeles at a conference, and he invited us to his house near San Francisco. We had inspiring conversations with him and Margaret. It was just wonderful! In his video studio, we had a 40 minutes conversation about the Coalition of Joy, about happy partnership, about the power of laughter, and much more.
Bruce is a scientist who became famous with his book „Biology of Belief“. His newest book, The Honeymoon Effect, is veryi inspiring, too.
